Complexion troubles

Does anyone have any recommendations for facial cleansers? I had hoped I'd be out of my adolescent complexion by now, but I can't rid myself of it.

I'd love suggestions. . .

I know what you mean. I'm 28, I've got 3 kids, I have WHITE hairs on my head, and I still have to worry about zits.

I use Oxy 10 twice a day, and then I use topical erythromyacin twice a day. I've used this combo for the past 4 years and can probably count on one hand the number of blemishes I've had since then. But if I stop using them, I have problems again. Both are safe while pregnant and nursing.

I'm in the same boat!

I have used A LOT of different cleansers. They work for a while and then it seems like my skin builds up an immunity and breaks out again.

So, the best thing I have found is to limit how much makeup I wear. It seemed silly to spend so much time and money washing and washing to then put on foundation, concealer, etc. that was part of the problem. I have found that I always break out worse during my menstrual cycles and that is just something I will have to deal with until menopause. Until then, I just limit my usage (like once or twice a week)and I seem to have clearer skin. One thing that seems to help in a very general was is to use a wash cloth rather than just lathering whatever cleanser I am using with my fingers. Hope that helps...

And just take comfort in knowing you are not the only one out there with a few blemishes.

I use AcneFree which is similar only cheaper to ProActive. I like both of them and seem to keep most zits at bay while using them. I also use Bare Escentuals makeup which is SO light and I really think it's helped my complexion as well. AND it covers FAR better than liquid foundation. Give it a try!
