I would have to agree with the comment before. My favorite part is the random acts of love my girls do- like a kiss on my cheek when they just feel like it, or a big body hug, or the feel of my baby all curled up in my arms and as calm as can be. At the same time, I also love the satisfaction of a good conversation with them when they get older, when I can see them learn something, or when something just clicks in their mind. There are a lot of parts- but as Elder Ballard said in the talk that inspired this website, these favorite parts come in "moments" and I always have to be on the lookout for them!
I love (and don't love) being the center of their world. They want to show me or tell me every little or big thing. I know there will come a point when that won't be the case, so I try to encourage them sharing with me. I also love the spontaneous "I love you" and the occasional comment from my 4 and 6-year-olds, "This is the best ever." Those are the pats on the back that make the diapers, cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc worth it.
I love knowing that what I am doing is of utmost importance to the Lord. I love being in a partnership with Him as I raise my children because I know that in this area of my life, I will get help when I need it (if not for my sake, then definitely for my children's sake!). I am sure you've all had those moments of quiet, simple inspiration that have helped you in the most random, puzzling situations. Being a mom has forced me to rely more heavily on the Lord, and has taught me how to better listen to the Spirit. I am grateful for that.
constant laughs. Even when my kids are naughty they still are doing something that is actually pretty funny (it might just take me a day or two to enjoy the humor). And the boundless love, my kids love me even with all of my faults and I love them right back!
The real religion of the world comes from women much more than from men-from mothers most of all, who carry the key of our souls in their bosoms. -Oliver Wendell Holmes
A man loves his sweetheart the most, his wife the best, but his mother the longest. -Irish proverb
A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. -Tenneva Jordan
A mother understands what a child does not say. -Jewish proverb
When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child. -Sophia Loren
Who we are. . .
We're a group of mothers who are committed to our families. We know firsthand not only the strain and struggles, but also the pure joy and rewards of being mothers.
This blog is to support each other through the swings of motherhood, AND the necessities of womanhood that sometimes get pushed aside. It was inspired by a talk given in April 2008 at a conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints entitled "Daughters of God" (see link below). It is a wonderful talk that all mothers, regardless of denomination, can use as a resource to strengthen themselves and their families.

The hugs, kisses and snuggles that make you feel love from the tip of your toes to the top of your head.
